What is the logistic arrangement to get to Muli
We understand that logistics can be a concern when traveling to the Central Atoll, but we have successfully addressed this by partnering with the operators of the neighboring resorts, Medhufushi and Hakuraa. Through a specially tailored contract, we have secured guarantees to ensure a smooth and reliable transportation experience for our clients as long as we book within 72h of expected departure.
This unique arrangement ensures that if a boat is overloaded, the operator will provide a seaplane as an alternative mode of transport. Even if there are only two clients, they will still operate the boat, ensuring that our guests can reach their destination without any disruptions. This is not your typical ferry arrangement, as they do not make any stops with locals, offering a direct transfer from the airport to Muli/Medhufushi/Hakuraa.
The trip duration is approximately 2 hours and 10 minutes in the best-case scenario, and up to 2 hours and 45 minutes if conditions are rough. The ferries currently operate two trips per day, departing from Male at 10 AM to 11 AM, and 4 to 4h45 PM, with return trips from Muli at 6 AM, and 11 AM. There may be a possibility of increasing the number of trips to three four per day in the future, providing even more flexibility for our guests.
To ensure a hassle-free journey, we offer unlimited luggage allowance, and one board bag with one board is allowed free of charge. Additional boards can be accommodated at a nominal fee of $20 per board. In the event of a large group arrival, if the boat cannot physically carry all the boards at once, the remaining boards will be transported on the next available boat. For added convenience, we have a collection of ten new boards from Torq, as well as a diverse range of boards from my personal quiver, which will be made available to guests in case their own boards are on a separate boat.
The ferry company we have partnered with is called Projets, renowned for their commitment to exceptional service and reliability. The one-way price for this convenient and comfortable transportation option is $70 USD.
With this reliable transportation arrangement in place, we strive to ensure that our guests have a seamless and enjoyable journey to our retreat, ready to embark on an unforgettable experience in the Central Atoll.

If on a local island, then I assume no alcohol for guests?
That's correct. As a Frenchman, I understand the love for daily wine. However, being on a local island means alcohol is not available for guests. Nevertheless, we have convenient options for our guests to enjoy alcoholic beverages. Just a short taxi boat ride away, you can visit nearby resorts like Medhufushi and Hakuraa. There, you can savor drinks, indulge in their buffet, and spend the day relaxing on the beach. Hakuraa offers a lunch and dinner package starting at $50, inclusive of alcohol, with premium liquor options available at $130 and $160 respectively. Medhufushi offers an à la carte menu, and guests can also enjoy the pool by spending at the bar.

Would you guarantee at least 2 boat trips per day (weather permitting)?
Yes, we guarantee a minimum of 2 boat trips per day, weather permitting. However, if the conditions are favourable and the popular F1 spot is working well, guests often prefer to stay and enjoy the excellent surf there. In any events, we may offer up to 3 boat trips per day. Additionally, if the F1 spot is crowded, we have other great surf spots like the lefts of Veywa and the rights of Mulah, which are just a 15-minute boat ride away.
-
Would there be a Surf Guide on-site surfing with the guests?
We have a surf guide to accompany them on their first sessions to each surf spot. This guide, “China “, is a local bodyboarder who has an incredible story of resilience and passion for the sport. He will show guests around the spot, explain the best positions, take-off points, and other important details. Our captain will also keep a watchful eye on surfers, providing additional safety and assistance if needed.
-
Do you offer Surf Lessons as well?
Yes, we offer surf lesson packages for all levels. We are currently putting together the details of the offering. Our location has the advantage of the end of F1, which provides a perfect learning environment. Additionally, we have a designated area called SKOOLS, situated deep in the channel, with a powerful moving whitewater wave and a coral garden the size of a football field. This spot offers a safe and reassuring setting, ideal for beginners to experience the joy of riding their first waves. Our instructor is currently available 2 mornings, 2 afternoons, and 2 and ½ full days per week providing plenty of options and daily courses.
-
Is the Surf Board rental at an extra cost?
We have a wide selection of surfboards available for rental, including fish, thrusters, hybrids, and longboards. We have around 20 boards in total, with 10 brand new ones from Torq. The rental of surfboards will be subject to a fee. In the event that your board is delayed or needs to be transported separately, we will provide a free rental. We anticipate minimal instances of this, but in the case of a large group arrival with multiple boards, the boat may not have enough space. Additionally, we are considering offering a complimentary trial session on all Torq boards during the trip.
-
Would the price of the Double Room be the same if one of the guests is a non-surfer?

-
Do you have a Cancellation Policy, including one for possible COVID-related situations?
In the event of another episode of COVID or any unforeseen circumstances, we would provide a credit option like what many guest houses did during the pandemic. Refunding the money as per the original terms may be challenging. Our priority is to find a fair and mutually beneficial solution for both guests and our business.
